Indications
- Protects the peri-wound area
- Ideal for stoma patients
- Protects against incontinence dermatitis
- Prevents skin from irritation, friction and shear
Contra-indications
- Do not use L-Mesitran Barrier Cream on patients who are known to be hypersensitive to it or any of its ingredients.
- No other contraindications are known to date.
How does L-Mesitran Barrier Cream work?
When the cream is in contact with the skin it forms a semi-permeable film on the skin surface. Honey and other ingredients support healthy skin balance and provides calm skin feel.
L-Mesitran Barrier Cream can be applied to intact and at-risk skin to provide protection from fluids and moisture. It can be applied around wounds and under skin folds forming a protective barrier that will help prevent skin breakdown.
It can also be applied under wound dressings and incontinence pads where the skin can be at-risk of damage.
