Case study performed by: Lucia Bosco

A 17-year-old boy developed itchy ringworm lesions on his neck and torso. These fungal infections appeared suddenly, prompting the application of L-Mesitran Soft twice a day.

Method: The patient applied L-Mesitran Soft gel to the affected areas twice daily without a secondary dressing.

Results: After the first few applications, the itching subsided. By day 4, the lesions had almost disappeared, and by day 7, the infection had completely cleared.

Discussion: Ringworm is a common fungal infection. Medical-grade honey (MGH), with its broad antimicrobial properties, has proven effective in treating fungal, bacterial, and viral infections. MGH’s low pH, hydrogen peroxide release, and antimicrobial constituents make it a powerful remedy for such infections without the risk of antimicrobial resistance.

Conclusion: L-Mesitran Soft demonstrated potent antimicrobial and healing effects in the rapid treatment of fungal infections like ringworm. The product serves as a promising alternative or complement to conventional antifungal treatments.
